If you're looking to pick up a pure guitar, bass, or electric piano signal with all its brilliance and without any tonal shift - even stereo sources, or two instruments simultaneously - the Palmer inn active DI box provides the ideal solution. Its low-noise active circuitry allows a higher input impedance than a passive DI box. This means the sound of the instruments is captured without treble or bass losses. High-level input impedance is especially important in interaction with the magnetic pickups in electrical guitar, electric bass and electromechanical electric pianos (e.g. Rhodes), as well as with (passive) piezo pickups for acoustic instruments. The Palmer inn is also very well suited to synthesisers and other electronic keyboards as it also offers sufficient headroom to handle high-level sources without unwanted distortion. In addition, the inn is two-channel, meaning it can process stereo signals or two instruments simultaneously.Selbstverständlich verfügt der Palmer inn über einen THRU-Ausgang, um das Eingangssignal an den Instrumentenverstärker weiterzuleiten. Bei aktivierter Vorabschwächung von 30 dB kann der Palmer inn optional auch zwischen den Verstärkerausgang und die Lautsprechereinheit geschaltet werden, falls statt des rohen Instrumentsignals auch die Klangformung des Verstärkers aufgenommen werden soll. Besonders praktisch ist, dass es - zusätzlich zu den einzelnen Ausgängen für beide Kanäle - auch einen Summenausgang mit dem Signal beider Kanäle bietet. Das spart Mischpultkanäle.
The balanced, low-impedance output signals from the Palmer inn are resistant to interference, which enables long cable runs without loss of sound quality. Thanks to the integrated transformer, the XLR outputs are galvanically isolated and have individual Ground Lift switches to eliminate ground loop hum without fuss. For a power supply, 48V phantom power or a standard PSU (9-24V) can be used.
