Dbx 580

The dbx 580 microphone preamplifier provides transparent gain that brings out the detail and unique character of every microphone, even the most distinctive ones. It transforms low-level output signals into high-level signals, with a high-current output for direct connection to line inputs, samplers, and other recording devices with analog and line inputs. Part of the 500 Series, the dbx 580 offers up to 60 dB of gain, a variable-frequency low-cut filter, and unique high- and low-frequency detail EQ controls, a 20 dB pad, polarity reversal, +48V phantom power, a front-panel input, VU metering, and a peak indicator. Recommended for studio use.
