The new BLU-8 v2 is a programmable zone controller for Soundweb London networks, capable of controlling 1 zone, 4 zones, or 8 zones in various operating modes. A simple and intuitive control interface allows non-technical staff to use it, enabling convenient management of integrated AV systems. Thanks to its RJ-45 port, the BLU-8 v2 connects via a CAT-5 cable to a Fast Ethernet network switch or directly to a London rack-mounted device (BLU-80/32/16). The new BLU-8 v2 can be powered using the rear terminals, which accept DC voltages from 12V to 48V, or via the Ethernet network itself, provided the switch to which the device is connected complies with the PoE (Power over Ethernet) standard. The new, revised version features programming capabilities more similar to those of the Soundweb London rack-mounted units and is equipped with a network card that offers better performance than its predecessor.
