DAP NRG-12A

The DAP NRG-12A is an active broadband loudspeaker with a peak power output of 360 watts (180 watts RMS). It is equipped with a 12‘ woofer and a 1’ compression driver and features an internal DSP with 4 practical modes: Contour, Flat, Speech and +Sub. You can apply a loudness curve, a flat curve, a high-pass curve or a high-pass filter with optimised frequency and phase curve specifically for the NRG subwoofer range. The compression driver is coupled with a rotatable horn with a dispersion of 90° x 60°. The internal Class D amplifier is equipped with a switching power supply to keep weight low and efficiency high. The internal DSP includes a crossover for the woofer and compression driver, a 2-band limiter and protection mechanisms against short circuit and overheating.

In addition to special XLR/jack combo connectors for microphone and line-level signals, the NRG-12A also features an integrated Bluetooth 5.0 receiver that allows you to play music from a smartphone, laptop or other Bluetooth media players. The Bluetooth receiver is equipped with True Wireless Stereo (TWS) and can be configured to deliver stereo sound when using two NRG broadband speakers. The line output is looped through and there is an additional ‘mix-out’ output for all available signals, which can be used to operate a second device or a subwoofer, preferably from the NRG series. The individual gain controls allow you to easily adjust the level of the different input signals, while a master control controls the overall volume.

The lightweight plywood enclosure features a double-angled top hat (0° and 5°) that allows the speaker to be pointed downwards when mounted on a pipe. For best results, we recommend using the NRG-12A in combination with a subwoofer from the NRG series.
