PreSonus Air12

The compact and lightweight 12-inch woofer and 1.35-inch tweeter of the PreSonus® AIR12 active 2-way PA speaker deliver rich, extended bass response and natural high-frequency reproduction in a cabinet that fits in the trunk of a small car. Backed by 1,200 watts (peak power) of Class D/Class AB power and enhanced with user-friendly digital tuning features, the AIR12 delivers all the power and tools you need for mobile and fixed installations. A selection of inputs allows for use with a variety of sources.

A user-friendly signal processor with presets simplifies the adjustment of the AIR12 for use as a front-of-house power amplifier, monitor wedge, music playback, for better speech intelligibility, and for improved bass response and warmer sound. The treble and bass controls allow you to boost or cut the sound by 10 dB to compensate for room resonances. Preset positions optimize performance when mounted on stands and brackets, as well as in suspended installations.

The AIR12's multi-angle enclosure features non-slip rubber feet on the bottom for use in a vertical front-of-house position and on the sides for stage monitor applications. Mount it with M10 suspension points or stack it on the floor for mobile applications. Mount it on a stand or an AIR series subwoofer with an optional secondary stand. An integrated two-position stand mount allows the speaker to be aligned or tilted down 7.5˚. And thanks to its top-mounted handle, the AIR12 is easy to transport.

The AIR12 loudspeakers deliver up to 123 dB SPL of rich, clear sound across the entire frequency range of the loudspeaker from 51 Hz to 20 kHz. A 900 W Class D amplifier (peak power) drives the 12-inch woofer for efficient and clean bass. A 300-watt Class AB amplifier (peak power) powers the 1.35-inch tweeter, ensuring a natural, “AIR-y” high-frequency response.

A monitor preset corrects excessive bass

When you place a speaker against a wall or on the floor, the low frequencies emitted from the rear spread throughout the room and amplify the low frequencies by up to 6 dB. AIR speakers offer a monitor preset that uses DSP to compensate for bass buildup and maintain a tight midrange and low-frequency response while suppressing problematic frequencies.

Multiple inputs for a variety of sources

AIR full-range speakers feature two combined XLR microphone/TRS inputs, each with a Class-A microphone preamp and independent gain control. An ⅛-inch stereo jack allows connection of audio signals from entertainment devices. These signals can be combined via the internal mixer, and a balanced XLR mix output allows the signals to be routed to other AIR series speakers.
