The Blackmagic Ethernet Switch 820 is a high-end Ethernet switch designed for advanced SMPTE-2110 broadcast systems. It offers extremely high performance with very low latency and a rear panel design that keeps cabling tidy and protected, making it easy to integrate into professional racks.
It features eight 100G QSFP28 ports and two 10G RJ45 ports for exceptional bandwidth for high-density IP video streams, such as multi-camera productions, 2110 routing, and next-generation broadcast infrastructure.
The system also features two redundant PTP ports, a dedicated NMOS control port, and a separate management port, ensuring full compatibility with 2110 workflows and clock redundancy for critical synchronization.
Server-style front-to-back cooling is designed for quiet and reliable operation, while the front panel includes a 2.2 and #34; LCD display for monitoring video, audio, standards, and time code.
