Panasonic AG-CX350EJ

With the AG-CX350, Panasonic expands its NDI HX range. The camera records in the HEVC format and can operate remotely thanks to NDI | HX, has a 20x zoom with a 24.5mm wide angle. NDI | HX encoding for IP connectivity is activated by purchasing an optional driver.

The AG-CX350 4K is designed for what Panasonic calls the fusion of communications and broadcasting. A compact 4K UHD professional camcorder packed with features you would expect to find in a full-sized camera. The AG-CX350 features a 1.0" MOS sensor with UHD resolution (3840 x 2160), in MOV format using a variety of data rates including 400Mb/s, as well as in HEVC up to 200Mb/s. The camcorder can also record HD in MOV, as well as HD/SD in AVCHD format where required. There is a choice of eight different gamma settings including HLG, providing HDR output. It also features a variable frame rate of 1 to 60 fps in UHD and 1 to 120 fps in HD. Two SD card slots allow simultaneous recording.

1-inch 15-megapixel CMOS sensor

The 1-inch 15-megapixel CMOS sensor has a color depth of 10 bits for 4K (UHD) and Full HD recording even with variable frame rate (VFR) while maintaining 10bit UHD/50p sampling. The new HEVC codec provides extreme efficiency, meaning less data to store while maintaining excellent video quality.

HDR means super Dynamic Range

The camcorder offers an HLG gamma mode and is therefore also suitable for HDR production (Rec.2100) which is also supported by the new highly efficient HEVC codec (LongGOP, 10 bit, 4:2:0, MOV). It is thanks to HLG (Hybrid Log-Gamma) that this camera supports HDR (High Dynamic Range) and can thus offer compatible TV monitors a wide dynamic range. The gamma mode can be selected from eight available (HD, SD, FILMLIKE 1, FILMLIKE 2, FILMLIKE 3, FILM-REC, VIDEO-REC, HLG).

20x zoom and 5-axis stabilized optics

A lens with 20x optical zoom and 32x intelligent zoom is integrated. The lens features 5-axis image stabilization and three control rings, one each for focus, iris and zoom.

SDI - HDMI and all the connections you need

The camera supports LANC control via a 2.5mm input port. It features an OLF EVF and a 3.2" LCD touchscreen monitor and has a built-in stereo microphone and two XLR audio connectors. Other connectors include both 3G-SDI and HDMI output (HDMI supports UHD), timecode input/output as USB 3.0, USB 2.0 and an Ethernet port for connecting to a network or wired streaming. An optional USB wireless adapter enables wireless streaming.

Streaming - NDI HX - network control and transmission

The AG-CX 350 is designed to facilitate video transmission and camera control over IP and is dedicated to live event shooting and web distribution. It can also be combined with Panasonic PTZ cameras together with the Live Production Center (AV-HLC100), which also offers IP connection with NDI HX (Network Device Interface) protocol, for which an activation key is required. It also supports streaming to Facebook and YouTube with RTSP and RTMP protocols.

The Panasonic CX 350 can also save in the format of P2 MXF files with AVC-Intra and AVC-LongG, while video output is ensured simultaneously by both SDI and HDMI connector. MOV (AVC, HEVC) - AVCHD formats in H.264 and H.265 are supported in a wide range of modes.
