RON mastering compressor was not conceived as a traditional processor...Spl wanted to create a piece of hardware with its own personality. A compressor that provides a pleasant, musical and transparent sound, typical of vintage compressors, but manages to be suitably versatile to meet all the needs of modern mastering studios. IRON not only combines the sonic qualities of the legendary tube compressors with the advantages of High Dynamic 120 V voltage operation, but also sets new benchmarks in tube compressor technology with the introduction of innovative dual valve circuitry in parallel.

Sidechain that allows you to choose between Off, four sidechain-filter presets or an external sidechain signal. All functions can be adjusted via switches or, in the case of the Threshold, with a detented potentiometer In Link mode, the Threshold, Tube Bias, Attack, Release, and Rectifier parameters, as well as the Sidechain EQs, are controlled with the right side (channel 2) of the unit.
