Akai Professional EWI Solo

The AKAI Professional EWI Solo is an electronic wind instrument equipped with 200 sounds (acoustic and electronic), a rechargeable lithium battery with a 12-hour battery life, a built-in speaker that allows you to play without necessarily having to connect to a system or mixer, a highly intelligible OLED display, and audio outputs for headphones on 1/8 mini jack and master out on 1/4 jack. Thanks to the USB port, it connects to your computer to be used as a MIDI controller for virtual instruments and to play wind instrument parts in your favorite DAW. With EWI Solo, you can play your favorite wind instrument without disturbing: using the headphone output, without connecting to a sound system thanks to the built-in speaker, or connecting to a mixer with 1/4 jack output.

The USB port allows you to use it as a MIDI controller to play your virtual instruments on a computer. Those who already play musical instruments belonging to the woodwind or brass families will have no particular difficulty adjusting to using the EWI Solo, since, with the simple rotation of a potentiometer, the instrument adapts to the playing style and fingerings of instruments such as the flute, oboe, saxophone, etc. Thanks to pressure sensors, you can precisely manage pitch and volume dynamics; with octave control wheels, on the other hand, you can instantly vary the range to change registers, while with intervention on the touch strip surface you can manage portamento. Reverb, delay, and chorus effects, pitch and pitch processors, and dual LFOs allow you to tailor the sound to the needs of your performance, whether in the studio or live. The two hundred sounds built into the EWI Solo provide for all kinds of timbres, from evolutionary synth pads to the finest jazz clarinets, to give you the right sound for your every need. Sounds are editable and can be saved as needed, to be recalled at a later time.
