Allen & Heath QU-6

The Allen & Heath Qu-6 is a digital 96 kHz mixing console with 25 motorized faders, 38 inputs (32 mono mic/line inputs, 3 stereo inputs), and 24 preamps. It offers 12 configurable mixers (6 mono, 6 stereo), 4 matrices, and 6 FX engines. USB-C interface 32x32 for PC/Mac, multi-track recording/playback on SD card, USB-A for stereo recording/playback. Capacitive 7-inch touchscreen, channel display and chromatic level meters for each channel, 8 assignable SoftKeys. SLink connection for Everything I/O stage box. Includes gain and feedback assistant, 32-channel AMM and remote control via the Qu-MixPad and Qu4You apps.

With the Qu-6, Allen & Heath expands its new generation of Qu series, offering a robust, flexible, and powerful digital mixer that meets the needs of sound engineers, AV technicians, and installers. The Qu-6 is based on the 96 kHz XCVI FPGA processor and combines outstanding audio quality with a streamlined workflow and a user interface designed for speed and precision.

Compared to the more compact Qu-5, the Qu-6 has additional faders, inputs and outputs and offers 24 microphone/line inputs via XLR/jack combo sockets, 25 motorized 100 mm faders and 16 XLR outputs. The internal routing is based on 32 (linkable) mono inputs, 3 stereo inputs, 12 total mixes (6 mono, 6 stereo) and 4 matrices with 6 dedicated FX engines.

The mixer is designed to ensure direct interaction with every aspect of the sound: The capacitive 7-inch touchscreen guides the user through a newly designed, intuitive user interface, while channel displays with colored LED level meters provide instant visual control. The 4 customizable fader layers and 8 assignable SoftKeys allow for a tailor-made configuration for any application scenario.

Connectivity meets the demands of modern productions: the USB-C interface enables multi-channel recording and playback (32x32), the SD slot supports multitracking with up to 32 tracks at 48 kHz or 16 at 96 kHz, while the USB-A port allows for easy stereo recording and backups. The 128x128 SLink connection enables integration with Allen & Heath's Everything I/O stage system, which is compatible with both dSnake expanders (48 kHz) and GX/DX expanders (96 kHz).

Features such as Gain Assistant and Feedback Assistant simplify sound checks and system optimization, while the integrated 32-channel Automatic Mic Mixer ensures perfect microphone control in speech environments without external DSPs.
