Allen & Heath QU-6D

The Allen & Heath Qu-6D is a digital 96 kHz mixer with 25 motorized faders and an integrated 16x16 Dante interface (48/96 kHz). It features 38 inputs (32 mono mic/line inputs, 3 stereo inputs), 12 mixes (6 mono, 6 stereo), 4 matrices, and 6 FX engines. Multi-track recording to DAW via USB-C 32x32 and SD card, plus USB-A for stereo playback. 7-inch touchscreen, chromatic displays and level meters for each channel, 8 configurable SoftKeys. Allen & Heath Qu-6D is a digital mixer that combines the quality of 96 kHz XCVI processing with the flexibility of the Dante network, offering a compact but complete solution for complex AV environments, broadcast, rental, and technical touring. It is designed for those who work with high connectivity standards on a daily basis without compromising on ease of use.

At the heart of the Qu-6D is the Allen & Heath XCVI FPGA processor, designed for the highest audio resolution and extremely low latency. With a total of 38 inputs (32 mono, 3 stereo), 12 configurable mixes, and 4 matrices, the mixer is perfectly equipped for complex productions. The 6 FX engines with dedicated returns also allow you to create sophisticated soundscapes directly on board.

Thanks to the integrated 16x16 (48/96 kHz) Dante interface, the Qu-6D integrates seamlessly into existing digital infrastructures and is fully compatible with Dante-compatible stage boxes, audio matrices, and DSP systems. The EtherCon connection with locking ensures reliability even in the most complex setups.

On the hardware side, the mixer offers 25 motorized 100 mm faders spread over 4 customizable layers, 24 mic/line inputs via XLR/jack combo sockets, 16 XLR outputs, and the necessary connections for line, talkback, headphones, and AES3 digital. The capacitive 7-inch touchscreen and displays with colored LED level indicators for each channel simplify operation and allow intuitive control of the mix, even for sound engineers accustomed to analog systems.

The Qu-6D features intelligent functions such as Gain Assistant and Feedback Assistant, which speed up setup and enable quick and accurate checks. An integrated 32-channel AMM (Automatic Mic Mixer) is also included, ideal for conferences and events where speech intelligibility is critical.

Rounding out the features is a 32x32 USB-C interface for multi-channel recording to DAW, an SD slot for multitrack recording (32x32 at 48 kHz or 16x16 at 96 kHz), USB-A for stereo recording, and the SLink connection for expanding I/Os via Allen & Heath Everything I/O stage boxes.

The Qu-6D can be remotely controlled via free apps (Qu-MixPad, Qu4You) and is suitable for both fixed installations and mobile solutions. Its reliable construction and Dante integration make it a powerful resource for any modern sound engineer.
