The new BLU-101 features an AEC (Acoustic Echo Cancellation) processing card that supports up to 12 independent AEC algorithms. These algorithms can be applied to signals at the analog inputs or at the digital bus outputs. The 12 individual AEC channels (1 per algorithm) allow the user to implement a practical and cost-effective solution for simultaneously managing multiple conference rooms from a single device. The BLU-100's analog inputs feature software-adjustable gain in 6 dB steps up to +48 dB, with independently selectable phantom power on each channel. Phantom power status, signal presence, and any clipping are clearly indicated for each channel via a set of LED indicators on the front panel, without the need for a connected PC. The BLU-100 is also equipped with a 48-channel, low-latency, fault-tolerant digital audio bus that uses standard CAT5e cable to transmit signals to compatible devices, up to a distance of 100 meters between the two units. Specialized fiber-optic converters can be used to extend the maximum distance to over 10 km on a single-mode basis. The BLU-101 is configured, controlled, and monitored via the HiQnetT London Architect software and is compatible with all other members of the London family. The 48-channel audio bus actually consists of the first 48 channels of the larger 256-signal BLU-Link connection, which is fully operational on the BLU-800, BLU-320, BLU-160, BLU-120, and BLU-BOB devices. Up to 60 compatible units can be connected to share the channels of a single bus. Like the other processors in the series, the BLU-101 features 12 Control Input jacks and 6 Logic Output ports for connecting the unit to other products with GPIO.
