Novation Launchkey 25 MK4 is a compact MIDI USB controller for DAW software with a full-size 2-octave synth-action keyboard, eight 360° encoders, and 16 velocity-sensitive pads and polyphonic aftertouch for finger drumming and clip launching. Enhanced DAW Integration

Launchkey now supports all popular DAW software, with seamless and customizable integration for: Ableton Live, Logic, Cubase, Reason Studios, Reaper, FL Studios, and Ardour. With these software, you get a hardware-based workflow that gives you full control over transport functions, timeline navigation, mixing and equalization, clip launching, and effects and instrument parameters. When you use Ableton Live's Session View or Logic's Live Loops, the 16 drum pads also act as Launchpad-style launch buttons for clips, with RGB backlighting that perfectly matches what you see on screen.

More powerful creative tools

Launchkey 25's creative tools are built into the hardware itself-so they work the same way in the DAW, with hardware synthesizers, or with mobile devices. Scale modes now let you lock your keyboard to a scale of your choice of 30 different scales, so you can eliminate wrong notes or map everything to white keys only. The Fixed Chord mode allows you to play a complete chord from a single key; the new Chord Maps mode, on the other hand, goes further and allows you to create emotionally charged progressions from the Launchkey pads. In this latest iteration of our beloved arpeggiator, it is easier than ever to distort and mutate sequences for endless inspiration.

Highly responsive and expressive FSR pads

For finger drumming, Launchkey now sports our patented, velocity-sensitive FSR drum pads with polyphonic aftertouch. Unlike traditional pads, each has a unique radial sensor that increases sensitivity and improves consistency for even more precise performances. They can also be set to trigger individual chords or notes with polyphonic aftertouch.

New Custom Modes

Launchkey controls are not limited by default assignments; just load the free Components software into your browser and configure them to work just the way you want, with software or hardware. You can store up to four custom mappings for both pads and Launchkey encoders and recall them in a snap from the hardware to send your chosen notes, MIDI CCs, or program changes.

Not just computers with Launchkey MK4

With the Launchkey 25's pentapolar DIN-format MIDI output, it is so easy to connect hardware synthesizers via an adapter without the need for a DAW. Together with Components and custom mappings, you can control all the most important features directly from the keyboard. What's more, the Launchkey requires no additional drivers, so it is fully compatible with countless apps used to create music on iPhone and iPad-including the free Novation Launchpad app.

The Launchkey 25 pad keyboard controller includes everything you need to start creating music right away. The included DAW, Ableton Live 12 Lite, allows you to record and perform with up to eight MIDI or audio tracks, in addition to a range of instruments, effects, and creative mediums - and it works great with Launchkey. You also get a selection of additional professional-grade effects and sounds from Novation and Focusrite.
