Despite the compactness of the camera body, the smallest and lightest in the world, the a7C offers both photos and movies with the spectacular image quality you expect from a full-frame camera. The fast, wide and stable AF, the lightning-fast continuous shooting and the practical angle LCD monitor help you capture the action in real time.

Larger sensors create better images, and the a7C's full-frame sensor is much larger than those in smartphones, compact digital cameras and interchangeable-lens cameras with APS-C sensors of a similar size. The greater amount of light captured allows you to take professional, low-noise photos and preserve more detail in both shadow and light.

The back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor and BIONZ X image processor work beautifully together. The extra-large pixels of the 24.2-megapixel full-frame sensor gather more light, achieving a dynamic range of up to 15 stops and smoother gradations from shadow to highlight. Excellent subjective resolution and noise reduction combine with precise color reproduction for beautifully accurate skin tones and natural textures.

The a7C is capable of continuous shooting at up to 10 fps with AF/AE tracking, and up to 8 fps in Live View mode, to keep a moving subject in focus and capture the moment with precision. In combination with silent shooting, it shoots at up to 10 fps, making it possible to photograph in noise-sensitive environments or capture scenes with sleeping children or animals without the shutter sound disturbing them.

Included with the camera body, the FE 28-60 mm f / 4-5.6 wide-angle to long-normal zoom is characterized by its modern design and elegant profile. The sleek design makes this lens ideal for walkarounds and everyday shooting, and the flexible focal length range offers great versatility. The optical design incorporates three aspherical elements, which help to reduce distortion and spherical aberrations and promote greater sharpness and accurate rendering. Complementing the optics is a linear motor and internal focusing that ensure fast and quiet autofocus performance for both photographic and video needs. The lens body is also weather-resistant to allow you to work in difficult environmental conditions.
