Rupert Neve Designs 511 Mic Pre 500 Series

Based on the award-winning 517 module, the 511 Mic Pre with Silk is an absolute-level mic preamp with the same high-pass filter as the 5012 module and Silk variable control derived from the 'flagship' Portico II Channel. Through the Silk it is possible to improve sound quality and add vintage color, reducing negative feedback to achieve a very pleasant and musical sound.

The 511 naturally provides for the use of microphone or line sources, proving absolutely perfect with ribbon microphones as well as dynamic, condenser and tube microphones. The polarity reversal switch makes it possible to solve any phase problems, while the high-pass filter makes it possible to work on low-frequency noise and control the proximity effect of many microphones.
