The heart of the system is the GLD-80 mixer, which provides complete processing of 48 inputs, 8 stereo effects returns derived directly from iLive, 30 configurable buses, 20 mixes with DSP, and enough processing power to handle them all without compromise. The GLD-80 offers a control section in perfect analog style, enhanced by an 8.4" touchscreen display. A fully customizable drag & drop layout allows for quick and easy assignment of faders to inputs and outputs. There are 20 physical faders with 4 layers, each with a motorized fader, an LCD display for each channel that can be customized with name and color, as well as an assignable rotary control for adjusting gain, pan, and sends. The mixer's local input and output configuration includes: 4 XLR mic/line inputs, 4 XLR outputs, 4 RCA inputs, 2 RCA outputs, and digital outputs in SPDIF and AES3 format. The GLD-80 can be connected to a variety of plug-and-play I/O racks to create systems with 28, 36, or 44 microphone inputs. One AR2412 main rack (24 XLR inputs and 12 outputs) and up to two AR84 expansion racks (8 XLR inputs and 4 outputs each) can be connected via CAT5 cable up to 120 meters using A&H's proprietary dSNAKE protocol. dSNAKE allows remote control of the preamps that can be stored in scenes. The AR2412 also incorporates a connection for a personal monitoring system.
