Think of the OP-1 Field as the natural continuation of its predecessor. Updated with the latest technology, improved design, and refined with professional musicians, recording artists, and sound designers in mind. Superior quality in every aspect, from circuitry to connectivity and flexibility, it is tailor-made for industry professionals. Teenage Engineering didn't want to alter the original OP-1 too much, because they think they got it pretty much right the first time around, but by lowering the aluminum body around the keyboard, the new OP-1 Field is lighter, thinner, and more precise. With 2k molding, they also managed to fit a dual 2.4GHz antenna system inside the aluminum body. It has added two soft Velcro loops on the back for attaching covers and accessories. Perhaps you want to attach your OP-1 Field to your full-size keyboard or guitar? Use the included adhesive and start experimenting. On the right, you'll find an additional passive speaker for significantly improved bass. And for a "no more cold metal on your lap" experience, the aluminum body has been wrapped in a warm, soft-touch hard cover. The OP-1 Field is the second addition to Teenage Engineering's new field system. Together with the TX-6 portable mixer, you get incredibly powerful sound and an ultra-portable audio recording and performance system. All battery powered, rechargeable via USB-C, and with full interconnectivity (audio, MIDI, and high resolution) that is 1:1 compatible with iOS, macOS, and Windows, it is the most powerful, highest-quality portable system on the market today.
