The best of both worlds

Camden 500 is a clean, linear, and transparent preamplifier. But it also has its own sound character: two custom discrete analog saturation circuits can be applied.

Clean, precise, and natural

The Camden 500 offers maximum clarity and sonic detail. Its custom topology allows for incredible performance with low background noise and minimal distortion: -129.8dB EIN (150ohm) and THD+N 0.0002%. The Camden also sets a new standard for frequency and phase linearity: ±0.7dB frequency response from 5Hz to 200kHz at maximum gain, and <2° phase shift @ 50Hz-20kHz. The end result is a preamp with an extremely natural sound.

Vintage, warm, and colorful

The Camden 500 features “Mojo,” a custom analog saturation circuit that can transform it into the warmest, most colorful, and biggest preamp in your arsenal. Designed to introduce the harmonics typical of the most famous vintage products, the “Mojo” parameter can be used either discreetly or aggressively (and can, of course, be bypassed).

Custom topology

Thanks to a transformerless topology with 68.5dB of gain, the Camden 500 delivers incredible performance in terms of background noise, distortion, tracking, and phase shift across all 12 gain positions.

Three-way input switch

The appropriate input impedance and headroom for microphone, line, and high-impedance sources allow for full-range, gritty recordings with +26.5dBu input, but also a live and natural D.I. sound with its unique BJT design and 1.5M Ohm input impedance.
