EVE AUDIO SC205 is a 5" studio monitor specifically designed for listening Home and Project & Professional Audio Recording Studios. The ribbon tweeter with Air Motion transducer, compared with ribbon transducers used by other brands, has been improved to achieve more accurate sound reproduction. The front openings have also been increased to reduce sound coloration, and the protective grille can also be quickly removed if desired, thanks to a magnetic fastening system. Sonically, this tweeter allows for less obtrusive and aggressive reproduction of high frequencies with a bandwidth of up to 21KHz. The woofer is made of fiberglass with a honeycomb structure. This peculiarity makes it lightweight and rigid at the same time, resulting in an extremely precise and accurate low-frequency response. To avoid the typical effects of digital processing, EVE AUDIO SC205 is equipped with a very high quality Burr-Brown A/D converter, which provides a pure signal to the high-resolution DSP system. In addition, the direct connection of the DSP section to the PWM amplifiers, avoids additional (D/A) conversion. Placement at the rear of the cabinet, allowed for very large low-frequency ports, drastically reducing internal turbulence and consequent distortion. Much attention was paid to sound balance and in particular to the reproduction of midrange frequencies, which are poorly intelligible in many monitors with ribbon tweeters manufactured by other companies. The entire range of EVE monitors is equipped with a sophisticated DSP-based filter system, which allows the response of the speakers to be adapted to the working environment and the needs of each individual. Volume adjustment and all filter adjustments for acoustic response can be made with a single convenient knob equipped with a push function, located on the front panel. And to avoid unwanted changes, the modification of one or more parameters can be disabled with special switches in the rear panel.
