Eve Audio SC203 Pair

EVE AUDIO SC203 are a pair of 3" monitors consisting of a two-way Master and a Slave monitor. The Master monitor houses as many as four dedicated 30W power amplifiers for each woofer and tweeter, with a separate filter for more precise control. For precise low-frequency reproduction, Eve Audio has developed a 3-inch woofer made of ultra-strong coated paper, coupled with a large voice coil capable of handling longer linear excursions (+/-5 mm). In addition, the rear panel includes a passive resonator, whose diaphragm moves in unison with the woofer, reinforcing low-frequency reproduction and enabling the monitors to go as low as 62 Hz (+3dB). An additional benefit of Eve Audio's passive resonator is the elimination of noise caused by turbulence from the bass reflex tube. Based on Eve Audio's well-established Air Motion technology, the new µA.M.T. tweeter has been further optimized for more accurate high-frequency sound reproduction, even in small desktop monitors. Non-removable front grilles protect the tweeter and woofer from damage. EVE AUDIO SC203s are equipped with all the necessary connections for a desktop setup and for connecting to different types of sound sources: stereo RCA inputs, optical S/PDIF digital input, USB port for direct connection to Mac and PC computers, RCA output for adding a subwoofer and creating a 2.1 system. A special switch located on the rear panel allows selection of the 80 Hz cutoff frequency to use the SC203 monitors as satellites. The EVE AUDIO SC203s are equipped with a sophisticated system of high-resolution DSP-based filters, which allow the speakers' response to be adapted to the working environment and the needs of each individual. To ensure greater reliability and quality, the DSP is supported by a Cirrus Logic A/D converter with 24bit/192kHz resolution, and since the PWM amplifiers are connected directly to it, no further conversion is required. Adjustment of volume, balance, input selection, LED brightness, and all filter adjustments for acoustic response can be made with a single convenient knob with push function, located on the front panel.
