The DAP NRG-18SA is an active subwoofer with a peak power of 1000 watts (500 watts RMS continuous). It uses an 18“ woofer with a dual 3” voice coil to deliver bass down to 45 hertz (-6 dB). It is powerful enough to comfortably produce up to 122 dB. It features an internal DSP with 4 useful modes for integration with a full-range NRG loudspeaker or a customizable crossover frequency. The internal Class D amplifier features a switch-mode power supply to reduce weight and increase efficiency. The internal DSP also provides overload, short-circuit, and thermal protection. Two XLR combo jacks accept the audio signal, which is looped to the two XLR outputs to drive a full-range speaker or additional subwoofer.

The sturdy, lightweight plywood enclosure features an M20 threaded insert for mounting a speaker stand. To get the most out of the NRG-18SA, we recommend using it in combination with a full-range speaker from the NRG series.
