Designed to complement any full-range PA speaker and a perfect companion for the PreSonus® AIR series, the AIR15 active subwoofer delivers powerful, clear, and precise low-end punch. With its 15-inch low-frequency transducer, driven by 1,200 watts (peak) of Class D power, it provides a wide range of detailed bass down to 35 Hz.
Despite its power, the AIR15s is portable, compact, and lightweight, with a rugged tour-grade birch enclosure. It's easy to transport and suitable for mobile applications, as well as easy to install, with built-in provisions for the included wheel kit, floor stacking, and ergonomic handles on both sides.
The AIR series subwoofers are easy to set up—use the controls and signal processing presets. Set them up for normal front-of-house use or boost the low end with the Mo' Bass preset. Reverse polarity, use the low-pass filter to set a crossover frequency, adjust the main output level of the power amplifier, even turn off the grille LED for installations, all with the touch of a button. A variable alignment delay correctly aligns your three-way system.
Most subwoofers are essentially omnidirectional, which can cause feedback on stage and make monitoring difficult. Creating a subwoofer array helps keep excess energy away from the stage and audience. The AIR series subwoofers provide the tools you need to create these arrays with ease.
Most importantly, the AIR15 sounds great, delivering exceptional bass clarity and natural music reproduction.
Two subwoofers in a traditional stereo configuration can cause excess energy to build up on stage. The AIR subwoofers' Cardioid DSP preset makes it easy to create a cardioid array with a more direct radiation pattern, keeping energy off the stage and out of the audience. Or create an end-fire array for even greater off-axis rejection using the Endfire preset.
The AIR15 features two combined ¼-inch XLR and TRS inputs with level control and is provided with throughputs for connecting full-range systems or more subwoofers in larger systems. You can even disable the front power indicator LED for low-visibility installations or set it to illuminate only when the protection limiter is activated.
The AIR15's variable alignment delay correctly aligns your three-way system, regardless of whether the full-range speaker is placed above the subwoofer, using the secondary pole, or positioned a few meters away. A variable low-pass filter allows you to dial in the best crossover point. Optimized settings are provided for the AIR series full-range speakers.
