Radial Engineering RADIAL SGI Stereo TX/RX

Radial SGI TXRX Stereo is a Stereo Line Driver for instruments, designed to transmit signals up to 100 meters using a common Cat5 cable. The kit includes a transmit and receive module, forming a professional system capable of extending high-impedance stereo signals without degradation. It is designed to connect pedalboards, modelers and guitars to amplifiers located in remote rooms, isolated booths or under the stage, whether in the studio or on large stages. SGI TXRX Stereo maintains the tonal integrity of the signal and ensures noise- and interference-free operation, even over very long runs.

Key Features

  • Stereo line driver system for high-impedance instrument signals
  • Analog audio transmission over a single Cat5 cable
  • Maximum distance up to 100 meters (300 ft) without loss or noise
  • Jensen transformers for maximum sound quality
  • RJ45 etherCON connectors with locking (Neutrik compatible)
  • L/R inputs and outputs on high impedance ¼ jacks
  • L/R independent ground lifts on RX unit
  • 180° polarity reversal on left (RX) channel
  • Versatile 9-18 VDC power supply
  • Can also be used on existing Ethernet infrastructure

Radial SGI TXRX Stereo is the two-channel version of the SGI system, designed for professional handling of stereo guitar, bass, keyboard or modeler rigs. It converts two unbalanced instrument impedance signals to a balanced link that travels over a common Cat5 Ethernet cable, eliminating signal loss, noise and capacitance problems typical of long analog runs. Thanks to high-quality Jensen transformers, SGI TXRX Stereo preserves dynamics and frequency response, allowing amplifiers to be placed in separate rooms, under the stage or in isolated booths, while maintaining direct, stable and reliable control of the sound at all times.

Key Applications

  • Extending stereo pedalboards to remote amplifiers
  • Connecting stereo rigs in recording studios
  • Managing large stages with off-stage amplifiers
  • Isolating amplifiers in quiet room environments
  • Clean and orderly routing in complex live or touring systems

Using SGI TXRX Stereo in the Studio

SGI TXRX Stereo is the ideal interface for professional recording sessions. It allows you to play from the control room while hearing exactly what comes out of your monitors, without loss of detail or dynamics. Connect your guitar or pedalboard to the TX module's two instrument inputs, send the signal to the RX module via a simple Cat5 Ethernet cable, and play freely, even at high volumes.

Using SGI TXRX Stereo on Stage

On large stages, high impedance guitar signals can degrade due to the capacitance of long cables or noise generated by lighting rigs. SGI Stereo solves these problems by balancing the signal coming from the pedalboard and returning it clean and noise-free. It is perfect for isolated booths, amplifiers placed under the stage or remote rooms dedicated to silent stage setups.

SGI TXRX Stereo the solution for complex routing

The SGI TXRX Stereo system is an extremely useful tool for handling complex live setups. You can, for example, use a traditional SGI to carry the signal from a wireless receiver to the pedalboard, then employ a pair of SGI Stereo to send the pedalboard's stereo output to remote amplifiers, maintaining a stable and quiet signal up to 100 meters (300 ft) away.
