The Neumann KK 105 A is a supercardioid condenser capsule designed for Sennheiser wireless handheld transmitters. Compatible with the Spectera, EW-D, EW-DX, Digital 6000, and Digital 9000 systems, it allows you to equip a Sennheiser wireless microphone with the same capsule technology used in Neumann's KMS series microphones. This version features a nickel finish. The supercardioid polar pattern is narrow and frequency-independent: it ensures excellent rejection of side sounds and high resistance to feedback-crucial characteristics on noisy stages, with high-volume monitors, or with large bands. The voice sounds more direct, present, and isolated from the rest of the stage. The capsule covers the frequency range from 40 Hz to 20 kHz, with a sensitivity of 3 mV/Pa, an equivalent noise level of 20 dB-A, and an A-weighted signal-to-noise ratio of 74 dB. Its handling level of up to 154 dB SPL allows it to handle even the most powerful vocalists without clipping. The design is built for life on the road: the hardened steel grille incorporates an internal pop filter, the integrated elastic suspension reduces handling noise, and a low-frequency filter compensates for the proximity effect during close-up recording. The body measures 48 mm in diameter and 80 mm in length, weighing approximately 187 g; the package includes a padded carrying case. An ideal solution for users of Sennheiser systems who want studio-quality vocal sound even under the most demanding live conditions. It is also available in a black finish (KK 105 A bk).
