Soundboks MIX

Mix is a portable speaker powered by battery, the same one used by and rechargeable via USB C, with Bluetooth connection and a 3.5mm minijack input. It mounts a 10-cone, 1.2 dome tweeter and achieves a peak SPL of 121dB. The new design developed by Soundboks for the tweeter, woofer and reflex port ensures clean bass, natural midrange and clear treble, all without any distortion.

The design of MIX

The shape of the Soundboks MIX is reminiscent of the larger Soundboks 4 C model, with a removable steel grille and silicone rubber shockproof spheres at the corners. A handle has been inserted on the top side; in addition, there is the option of mounting 'The Strap' to carry it as a 'shoulder strap'. Like Soundboks' other models, it is also compatible with 'The Backpack'; both 'The Strap' and 'The Backpack' are sold separately and are not included with this product.

Refurbished tweeter and woofer

The new 1.2'' dome tweeter can reproduce brighter and more defined highs, while the new design for the reflex and woofer developed to optimize cabinet tuning, improve low frequency extension, reduce resonance and distortion ensuring cleaner bass, natural midrange and better dispersion.

User interface and controls

The minimalist user interface, in classic Soundboks style, obviously provides us with the power button, a knob with LED indicators for volume control, an AUX minijack input, and buttons for 'TeamUp' functions that allow us to activate Bluetooth and connect in 'Join' mode to another Soundboks or to have other speakers connect with the 'Host' function.

The rest of the DSP parameters can be accessed through the 'SOUNDBOKS' app available on iOS and Android.

MIX's battery

MIX uses the same 12.8V, 99.84Wh/7.8Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) battery, rechargeable via USB-C call that we find on Soundboks 4 C. This gives it up to 40 hours of uninterrupted music at medium volume, about 8 hours at maximum volume. On the battery module, which is interchangeable, there are 5 LEDs that at the push of a button will tell you the remaining battery life. These are batteries known for their long life, thermal stability and safety, whose internal and external components can handle temperatures from -10 to +40 °C (+14 to +104 °F), allowing you to use your SOUNDBOKS MIX in virtually any weather. Full charging takes 3 to 4 hours. While charging, the 5 LEDs will tell you how long until it is fully charged. The battery has a management system with protections against overcharging and over-discharging, short circuits, and overheating.

Designed to withstand

MIX has an IP 65 rating that makes it resistant to water splashes and dust, making it perfect for pool parties, camping, following you to the beach, or going skiing with you! With its front grille made of metal, and thanks to its durable cabinet made of PC/ABS, a thermoplastic alloy of polycarbonate and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, it is impact resistant and, with silicone rubber balls at the corners, not afraid of accidental drops either.
