Warm Audio Warm Bender

The Warm Audio Warm Bender features three dedicated, selectable circuits that accurately reproduce two of the most iconic Tone Bender fuzz tones, plus an extra modern circuit. You can choose between a NOS 76 configuration for a sharp, present sound, or a NOS 75 configuration to get the tone of the Mark II Professional-style Bender fuzz, or a proprietary circuit with 3-transistor topology for a more modern take on this legendary variety of fuzz. The Warm Bender is made with 100% through-hole mounted components and uses NOS germanium transistors. Inside the Warm Bender you will find two distinct germanium fuzz circuits and a third modern silicon circuit that offers a softer, distortion-like tone. With additional SAG control that adjusts the voltage and the pedal's small size, the Warm Bender is the ultimate fuzz bender experience.

Three Selectable Circuits: For a rich, responsive and aggressive fuzz, tap into the authentic sound of not one, but TWO of the most iconic British Tone Bender fuzz pedals that took the UK by storm. Like the original vintage two-transistor and three-transistor pedals, Warm Bender delivers all the wild, uncontrolled tones that made this style of fuzz famous. In addition, Warm Bender features a third bonus circuit that uses silicon transistors in the three-transistor topology for a more modern take on this legendary type of fuzz.

Classic two-knob Tone Bender style controls: Warm Bender features the classic 'Level' and 'Attack' controls of the NOS 75 and NOS 76 Tone Bender style pedals. Level adjusts the output volume of the pedal, adjusting the overall volume of the effect. Attack control determines the distortion/sustain level of the fuzz. Additional controls include a Version rotary switch to choose the distinctive all-analog bender style circuit and a rear-mounted SAG switch to deprive the pedal of voltage.

NOS Germanium Transistors: The first two positions on Warm Bender use NOS germanium transistors to authentically reproduce the intricate tones and separate circuits of vintage Tone Bender fuzz pedals. Position #1 is a two-transistor fuzz with an NOS OC76 transistor paired with an NOS SFT337. Position #2 is a three-transistor fuzz with (3X) NOS OC75 transistors. Each transistor on Warm Bender is hand-tested to close tolerances for consistent performance.

NOS 76 Setting - Cuts Through the Mix: This two-transistor OC76-based fuzz boasts striking tones that stand out in the mix. Like the original silver-and-black Tone Bender fuzz, the NOS 76 setting on Warm Bender offers an aggressive fuzz with very punchy grit and attack.

NOS 75 Setting - Get the Warmth and Fuzz: Compared to the NOS 76 setting, the NOS 75 setting on Warm Bender provides the user with impressive bass sounds with soft, velvety fuzz tones. Like the original three-transistor British fuzz pedal based on Professional MKII / OC75, the NOS 75 setting on Warm Bender reveals a saturated, round, darker sound reminiscent of the most famous British fuzz pedals.

Silicon setting - Modern, controlled chaos: The Silicon setting on Warm Bender takes the three-transistor topology similar to the NOS 75 setting, but replaces the germanium transistors with modern silicon components. This setting acts as a bridge between the traditional Tone Bender fuzz and a more modern distortion-like tone, offering smoother sustain, natural compression, and a fuzz that blends well into the mix.

Experience with Starved-Circuit Tones with SAG: The SAG switch on Warm Bender recreates the special and unique sound of the original Tone Bender style fuzz pedals when batteries were dead or power was low. These tones are extremely sensitive to touch, especially by turning down the volume. The playing experience results similar to tweed/mid-gain amps pushed to the limit.
