To achieve that "unique" Beyerdynamic sound, Beyerdynamic has been developing and refining its Sound Channeling Technology (SCT) for decades. They have created acoustic labyrinths with special geometries that provide optimized sound channeling.

They influence the sound and shape the polar pattern through the use of precisely tuned delay lines and attenuation pads. Every Beyerdynamic microphone has its own SCT to ensure optimal control of sound waves.
