Reflexion Filter is a portable device for recording live sound sources with a reduced external environment: the main function is to obtain a 'dry' recording of a vocal part or instrument.

Reflexion Filter has 6 main layers: the first layer is a reinforced aluminum grid that allows sound to pass through a layer of absorbent wool. The sound waves then pass through an aluminum foil that helps dissipate energy by interrupting the low frequency waveforms, and then pass into an air space maintained as such by the rods passing through the various layers. The air space acts as a true acoustic barrier. The sound wave then passes to a subsequent layer of absorbent wool and then through another aluminum grid that absorbs and diffuses the remaining acoustic energy.
