Soundweb London BLU-BOB 1 The BLU-BOB "Break-Out-Box" provides 8 analog output channels from the BLU-Link network to which it is connected. BLU-Link is the well-known, fault-tolerant, wideband digital audio bus for multichannel audio transport in the Soundweb London line. This expander can therefore be connected to the BLU-Link network via CAT5e cable for a maximum distance of 100m, or via single-mode fiber optic cable through the MC-1 media converter, to reach distances of over 10km. Selecting the 8 output channels is easily accomplished by configuring 6 rear DIP switches, which are used to select one of 32 groups of contiguous 8-channel BLU-Link groups (the BLU-Link supports bidirectional transport of 256 audio channels). The BLU-BOB is therefore configured as a standalone unit and does not require programming via the HiQnetT London Architect software. The eight line outputs use the same Euroblock connectors as the other members of the Soundweb family. Signal presence and power status are clearly indicated by a set of front-panel LEDs. The BLU-BOB is available in two versions: the BLU-BOB1 measures half a 19'' rack unit, for desktop or wall-mounted installations, while the BLU-BOB2 occupies a standard 19'' rack unit. The devices are powered by 12 VDC/15W via a power supply INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE 8 analog outputs Standard Euroblock connections DIP switches for selecting the 8-channel group BLU-Link Clear front-panel LED indicators External 12 VDC power supply Half-rack unit
