The true voice of your instrument

Now with CORE technology by DPA

The 4099 is the recognized standard for this category of microphones, and the CORE version raises the bar for sound quality and further sets this product apart from its competitors. The 4099 CORE adds greater clarity and detail to your sound and increases the dynamic range. Anyone looking for high-quality audio should choose CORE.

CORE by DPA is a powerful new technology integrated into DPA miniature microphones. We have minimized distortion. From pianissimo to forte, you will experience greater clarity and openness.

From piano to guitar, strings, woodwinds, and percussion, the 4099 series works impressively on all instruments. This model can beautifully reinforce an entire orchestra. You can move the microphone from one instrument to another; just make sure you have the right type of clip to mount it correctly. The award-winning 4099 series reproduces a much more natural sound than any other clip-on or pickup microphone. This condenser microphone reduces unwanted noise and accurately captures the true voice of your acoustic instrument.

This microphone is available in two versions:

4099 CORE, High SPL (red mark on the connector) - used for close-up recording of almost all types of instruments

4099 CORE, Extreme SPL (yellow mark on the connector) - used for close-up recording of extremely loud instruments, such as drums and some brass instruments

The 4099 CORE has an improved design with an elastic mount, which provides excellent isolation from mechanical noise. Detachable cables are available in normal or heavy-duty versions depending on the application - both are designed to withstand everyday use. A versatile, integrated gooseneck extension allows for quick and easily repeatable mounting.

The award-winning 4099 series offers a much more natural sound than any other microphone or internal pickup. This condenser microphone is insensitive to unwanted noise and accurately captures the true voice of your acoustic instrument. These microphones are available in 4- or 10-piece kits with related accessories to facilitate the recording of a group, band, or entire orchestra.

A perfect kit for any need

Two different types of kits are available, each of which can be purchased with 4 or 10 microphones. Ready for use on the road, for rental, for musicians, or in theaters, the 4099 Classic Touring Kit offers microphones and a selection of accessories for typical use in an acoustic music environment. This kit includes several 4099 CORE instrument microphones with a high SPL, perfect for use on a wide range of instruments, from flute to guitar, and much more.

The 4099 CORE Instrument Microphones

Both versions of the 4099 CORE for high or extreme SPL levels feature a supercardioid polar pattern for high rejection and superior feedback gain. The microphone also maintains a uniform off-axis frequency response to ensure clear, high-energy live performance.

The 4099 CORE also features an improved design with a shock mount, providing excellent isolation from mechanical noise. Cables are available in standard or heavy-duty versions, depending on the application—both are designed to withstand the rigors of daily use. A versatile, integrated gooseneck extender allows for easy and repeatable mounting.

Microphones can be easily unlocked, repositioned, or moved to another instrument. The mounting system is designed to never stain or scratch the finish of your instrument. The flexible design supports a variety of mounting and positioning possibilities.
