Reproducing piano sound extremely difficult, particularly during live performances when other instruments are present. Ambient sounds near the piano are often reflected in the piano microphones. To avoid sound loss, the piano is often reproduced in the short stick or closed lid positions. The SCX25A wide-diaphragm studio condenser microphone produces a highly transparent and remarkably accurate sound.
