Expressive E introduces Touché SE (Software Edition) the new version of its innovative control surface

Touché SE is a unique tool for adding expression, depth and musicality to software synthesizers and plug-ins. Expressive E's new controller is a revolutionary system, managing to combine together traditional mechanisms and the latest technology. It is a true musical instrument of expression, allowing you to control the sound of a synthesizer with the press of a hand. Its surface is designed to react to slight vibrations, to the slightest pressure of a hand's fingers, allowing it to shape sounds as easily and immediately as with an acoustic instrument.

Touché SE provides four independent expression sensors, with force feedback and sensitivity setting, and behavior similar to the expression key of the Ondes Martenot. A wide range of very intuitive gestures can be applied to achieve percussive rhythms, slide, vibrato, etc. Touché SE can be connected to any virtual synthesizer thanks to its built-in USB connection.

New advanced and complex sounds can be created by touching, tapping and pressing on the control surface. Far from a simple mod-wheel with instant, real-time control of multiple parameters using simple gestures that anyone can master.

The new, more affordable and accessible SE (Software Edition) version provides connectivity via USB and is designed for use in conjunction with the included Lié software for instant control of virtual instruments such as Massive, Monark, Razor, Serum, Diva, Arturia V-Collection, etc.

Through the included Lié software, it is possible to configure what kind of CC messages Touché can send. The Lié software works in full integration with Touché: it is a plug-in host application available in both VST and AU format, compatible with all major Digital Audio Workstations. The software allows for quick and easy configuration and control of plug-ins and also provides a collection of professionally mapped sounds that are immediately usable.

Lié integrates advanced features such as speedmapping, sensitivity curves, internal memory management, preset recalling, tags, random, etc. Lié also integrates sounds and configurations for a wide range of virtual synthesizers, as well as all the tools needed to make custom presets for software synths. All of the supplied software presets were created in partnership with UVI Falcon and are ready to be played within the UVI Workstation, included within Lié. Touché SE and Lié together offer a fully integrated and innovative solution perfect for any keyboardist's setup.

Of course, Touché is also always available with analog MIDI and Control Voltage outputs along with other features for controlling hardware synthesizers.

Expressive E is a newly established French company consisting of a close-knit team of twelve engineers, musicians, and developers. The project that started the transalpine brand originated a few years ago in a research laboratory in Paris: the LAM. The initial goal was to understand what the key principle of the behavior of the historic Ondes Martenot instrument was, in order to then be able to reproduce the same expressiveness with new technologies. At the end of the research work, the prototype of their first product was made with a 3D printer: Touché.
