Melbourne Instruments' NINA is a 12-voice polyphonic, multitimbral analog synthesizer equipped with revolutionary motorized controls and patch recall function, enabling real-time control surface visualization and automation that synthesizer players have dreamed of for decades. NINA combines the rich, full-bodied sonic qualities of classic analog synthesizers with versatility, advanced functionality, and MIDI compatibility. The result is a unique-sounding analog synthesizer that integrates seamlessly into the creative workflow in the studio and in live performance.

The introduction of motorized knobs solves the misalignment problem that occurs in traditional synthesizers when changing patches. NINA's knobs instantly return to their default positions whenever you change patches and automatically adjust during console operation, patch morphing, and modulation to accurately display current settings.

NINA's motorized knobs offer the same feel as traditional analog potentiometers, but with the ability to instantly switch from a rotary knob to a multi-position selector to better suit what you are controlling and the degree of variation required. NINA's tuning controls take advantage of this feature to switch from step adjustment, which works like a rotary dial, to fine tuning, which offers the same feel as a standard potentiometer. NINA's motors can also change perceived resistance, creating a more compact feel, or change position to add limit switches, zero stops, and jerky effects. NINA's controllers are incredibly precise, with more than 16,000 steps of stable accuracy in a single rotation. This level of control allows for extremely accurate recall and precise tuning adjustments, giving you the ability to perfect the sound exactly as you wish.
