CRUMAR Seven

The Crumar Seven isn't just another digital piano-it's a new model with a vintage look. This type of design was practically standard at the time; it was practical for users to transport and for manufacturers to assemble, and it was designed to support a very heavy structure consisting of several large moving mechanical parts. At a certain point, when digital electronics took over from the old mechanical and analog keyboards, the concept of the portable piano gradually changed, making the instruments smaller and lighter, to the point where some modern digital pianos are small enough to fit into a bag. But do they look good on stage? Do they have the class, sturdiness, and comfort of the old electric pianos? And what about the sound? Almost all digital pianos primarily offer piano sounds based on sampled material, and they all aim to emulate a grand piano, leaving out the sounds of famous electric pianos and treating them as minor extras.

The Crumar Seven's main focus is the electric piano: those sounds that have shaped the history of music over the past few decades. All sounds are based on real-time physical modeling technology-various types of synthesis specifically designed to faithfully reproduce a particular sound. Of course, there's also a physical model of a grand piano, for a total of nine different synthesis engines.
