KORG's Pitchblack XS Bass is a professional chromatic pedal tuner dedicated to the electric bass guitar. Its frequency sensing capability allows it to be used with all types of this instrument. It is made with an original design that integrates switch display and cabinet into one sturdy element, able to fit effectively into even highly articulated pedalboards.

Pitchblack XS Bass has a frequency sensing range starting at C0 (16.34 Hz), covering more than an octave below the E string of the bass guitar, making it suitable for all types of electric bass, including lowered tunings, or 5-string basses.

ULTRA BUFFER technology optimized for bass switchable to True Bypass

The ULTRA BUFFER technology of Pitchblack XS Bass was fine-tuned with the bass player's needs in mind so as not to alter the sound of the original instrument. You can switch between True Bypass and ULTRA BUFFER according to personal preference.

Original and compact design with a large display

On Pitchblack XS Bass The display and footswitch are integrated into one compact unit with only: 7 x 8 cm, thus allowing you to maximize the size of the Display while saving cabinet space at the same time. The cabinet itself is made of metal and powder coated its shape allows the switch to respond to any position, regardless of how it is pressed or the direction in which it is placed.

High-visibility LED Meter with adjustable brightness

In addition to the larger display size, the number of LEDs on the Meter has also been increased on Pitchblack XS Bass to further improve its visibility. Its brightness also can be adjusted to two different levels, so that the Meter can always be visiile in any operating condition, from the darkness of stages and outdoors where sunlight can reflect off the screen. Triangular LED indicators on both sides flash indicating that the correct tuning has been reached, a reliable system for stress-free assurance of perfect tuning every time.

High-precision tuning with a tolerance of only +-0.1 cents

Selecting the Strobe mode enables high-precision tuning with only +-0.1 cent tolerance, ideal for all types of performances from Live shows to studio sessions, where even the smallest intonation error cannot be overlooked.

Four Meter Display Modes

Four types of Meter display modes are selectable according to the musician's needs. In addition to the standard Regular Mode, there is Strobe Mode, Half Strobe Mode, and Mirror Mode, in which two LEDs overlap left to right and center to center, indicating changes in frequency, direction, and speed of the Meter's flow, making it easier to detect even the smallest errors. By selecting Mirror Mode, on the other hand, the two LEDs will overlap left to right and right to center.
