Thanks to ESS 32-bit converters, the iD48 minimizes quality loss during conversion and maximizes performance, delivering a cleaner, more detailed and accurate sound with a dynamic range of 126.5 dB to capture every nuance and resolve mix issues more quickly. Equipped with ADAT- and SPDIF-compatible optical inputs and outputs, the iD48 allows you to expand the number of inputs by adding up to 16 channels of external preamplification. In addition, thanks to D-Sub connections, it offers eight fully balanced inserts for integrating outboard effects before conversion, ensuring the cleanest possible signal path. The new insert routing system allows you to choose whether to send the signal from the Audient preamp or the DAW output to external devices without having to disconnect or reconnect cables. For those who want to record with external analog preamps, the Return connections allow you to bypass the Audient preamp, offering a direct conversion path free of unwanted coloration. The interface is optimized for maximum productivity thanks to the iD Mixer, an intuitive app that lets you configure low-latency monitoring, create up to four stereo mixes for headphones, save custom presets, and manage advanced routing with just a few clicks. The two JFET instrument inputs are designed to replicate the input stage of a classic tube amp, delivering a rich, harmonic sound that's perfect for guitars and bass before entering amp simulators.
