The Blackmagic Studio Fiber Converter converts SDI video, audio, and remote control signals into a single fiber optic cable, which connects to the Blackmagic Camera Fiber Converter connected to the camera. Video and data are transmitted using standard IP, for excellent image quality with very low latency. It has a 12G-SDI connection for transmitting an HD or Ultra HD signal, or three HD return signals, standard connections for camera control, PTZ, two-channel intercom for talkback, talkback tracker, tally, and a 5-inch LCD display for monitoring images and return signals.
