The Primacoustic London 12 Room Kit in the Paintable finish is designed for rooms up to 15 square meters. It contains 22 panels from the Broadway series and can be combined with other products to treat larger spaces. The London 10 is ideal for home theaters, recording studios, streaming setups, and home recording spaces. These kits are an excellent starting point for implementing acoustic treatment in your listening room.
The London 12 includes a selection of Broadway panels that address common room issues, such as early reflections, flutter echoes, and standing waves. In addition to the acoustic panels, each London 12 kit includes the necessary mounting hardware and instructions for easy installation.
Primacoustic Broadway panels are made of high-density fiberglass (96 kg/m³) and offer nearly five times the absorption of typical low-cost foam alternatives (pyramidal and embossed). This means you'll achieve greater absorption using fewer panels, while ensuring a uniform attenuation curve across the entire frequency range.
Broadway Scatter Blocks provide an easy-to-install acoustic treatment solution for spaces where you want to control sound without eliminating the natural ambience.
Made from high-density glass wool (96 kg/m³), these 305x305mm panels are 25mm thick. They are designed to be spaced according to a predefined pattern-on large or small surfaces or walls-to create an effect known as Primacoustic Soft Diffusion. Scatter Blocks offer a cost-effective alternative to traditional rectangular or skyline diffusers positioned along all surfaces of the room.
To reduce standing waves within the room, it is best to position these panels so that they alternate between absorption and reflection. The Scatter Blocks are finished with a sound-transparent fabric in a "Paintable" color.
Also made of high-density glass wool, they have a vertical design measuring 305x1219mm and 51mm thick. The Control Columns are designed to be spaced apart according to the dimensions of the room being treated. They address the early reflections that occur between the sound source and the listener. During installation, it is essential to leave space between the panels to allow some of the energy to reflect back into the room, preventing the space from becoming too muffled and thereby maximizing the panels' absorption efficiency.
Primacoustic Control Columns are specifically designed to treat early reflections. If left untreated, these reflections could match the amplitude of the direct sound from the monitors, potentially causing phase cancellations and the resulting comb filter effect. Typically, Control Columns should be placed on the side walls and spaced 15 to 35 cm apart. Control Column panels are finished with a sound-transparent, paintable fabric.
Primacoustic BroadBand Absorber panels offer an easy-to-install solution for treating spaces where maximum control over early reflections is required. Made of high-density glass wool, they measure 60.96 x 121.92 cm and are 5.1 cm thick. Their large surface area provides excellent absorption across the entire frequency spectrum, making them particularly effective at improving speech intelligibility-and therefore ideal for installations in large spaces where reverberation and echoes are excessive. The BroadBand series panels are perfect for installation either flush against the wall surface-using Surface Impalers-or at an angle to increase their absorption in the low-frequency spectrum.
The London 12 Room Kit in the Paintable finish includes 26 Surface Impalers, 8 Corner Impalers, and a set of screws and drywall anchors. Primacoustic's Impaler system is designed to provide users or installers with a simple, quick, and effective method for mounting Broadway fiberglass acoustic panels on walls without causing significant damage to the surface.
The galvanized steel impaler features a series of protruding, sharp prongs that penetrate the panel to secure it in place during installation. To ensure the panels do not shift after installation, we recommend applying a small amount of adhesive to the tips of the Impaler during the mounting process; this adds an extra layer of security and reduces the risk of tampering. The Impaler mounts are secured to the surface using standard anchors and screws for concrete or drywall. The package includes a set of drywall anchors with matching screws.
If you ask anyone in the industry what the most common customer issue is, they'll surely tell you it has to do with choosing a color. Primacoustic Paintable panels were designed as a neutral solution that allows the end user to decide on the color after the panels have been delivered. This eliminates uncertainty about color selection and opens the door to creative use of textures and finishes.
Primacoustic Paintable is an innovative line of acoustic panels finished in Absolute White that can be repainted in any color you prefer! The design starts with the same high-density glass wool core (96 kg/m³) used in the Broadway series panels. Instead of wrapping the panel in colored fabric, the front and edges of the Paintable panels feature a breathable latex finish that allows them to be spray-painted or printed on without affecting their acoustic performance. The unique coated surface of Paintable panels can be printed at any print shop. Using a UV flatbed printer capable of handling a thickness of at least 5 cm, you can apply custom graphics, photos, logos, or an image of your choice to the front of the panel. This high-resolution printing applies a thin coating of vibrant colors without compromising the panel's acoustic performance. Full customization of your acoustic treatment is now possible!
All Broadway panels are laboratory-tested for acoustic performance and fire safety. Class A/1 fire-rated, they meet the stringent ASTM-E84 and CAN-UL S102 requirements for flame spread and smoke development. This makes Broadway panels safe for use in commercial, government, and institutional installations.
Surface Mounting Brackets
Step 1: Use a spirit level to draw a straight line with a pencil where the top of the panels will be positioned. Measure along this line and carefully mark where the corners of each panel will be. If you plan to space the panels apart, include the measurement of the space between them.
Step 2: Hold the Surface Impaler clip against the wall and mark the positions of the screw holes. Precise alignment is not necessary. The clips can be placed anywhere within the panel's space. Using a drill, drill holes and install the wall anchors that will support each flange clip.
Next, install each bracket, making sure to tighten the screws securely!
Scatter Blocks: Use one Impaler for each panel.
Against Columns: Use two Impalers each.
Step 3: Tilt the panel so that the top edge touches the wall. Carefully align it with the straight line and the marks you made in Step 1. Remember to place a spirit level on top of the panel to keep it straight as you guide it onto the clips. After aligning the panel perpendicularly, bring the back into contact with all the Impaler prongs. Apply just enough pressure to push the panel onto the prongs. The panel will slide onto the Impalers and sink in about 2 cm.
Now the panel is properly installed!
Corner Impalers
Primacoustic Corner Impalers simplify the installation of BroadBand panels in the corners of the room to form effective bass traps. Like the Surface clips, the Corner Impalers feature sharp spikes that penetrate the panel and hold it securely in place.
Use 4 supports for each panel.
Step 1: Identify the approximate position of the panel in the corner; draw a horizontal line with a pencil exactly 432 mm from the corner vertex on both sides.
Step 2: Mark the positions of all screws/anchors along the edge of the pencil line. The Corner Impalers should be located approximately 15-20 cm from the top and bottom edges of the panel.
Step 3: Install the included anchors for each Corner Impaler if your wall is made of drywall. Otherwise, use anchors suitable for the type of surface to which you will be attaching the panels. Use the pre-drilled holes on the bracket to tighten the screws!
Step 4: Once the flanges are in place, carefully rotate the sharp points of the Impaler so that they are all facing upward at a 45° angle.
Step 5: Lift the panel so that it comes into contact with all the spikes on the corner Impaler. Once it's aligned perpendicularly, apply even pressure across the entire panel and slide it onto the clips. The panel will sink in about two centimeters.
The panel is ready!
