Primacoustic FullTrap is a high-efficiency bass trap that combines a diaphragm resonator, a standard-sized acoustic panel, and a sealed enclosure to provide 3-way absorption across the entire frequency spectrum.
This unique design consists of a 24 x 48 - 3-thick Broadway panel mounted on the front with high-density glass wool fiber at 6 pounds per cubic foot. This effectively absorbs frequencies down to 125 Hz and extends below 100 Hz. Behind the panel, a closed air space fully utilizes the quarter-wavelength principle to further enhance low-frequency absorption in this critical frequency range.
Where FullTrap truly stands out is in its ability to absorb deep bass. The panel's remarkable low-frequency extension is achieved through a suspended diaphragm that extends nearly the full height of the device and essentially acts like a giant microphone, vibrating where low frequencies are most prominent and thereby capturing them. When room modes combine, reinforcing or canceling out certain frequencies, FullTrap's inert mass structure naturally shifts to the most prominent frequencies, where it resonates silently to remove excess bass and subsequent modal frequencies.
Available in black, beige, or gray, FullTrap can be installed in just a few minutes using standard household tools. This panel is the perfect solution for bass absorption in rooms where corner mounting isn't feasible due to windows, doors, or other obstacles. FullTrap can also be used to reinforce other traps when a room requires additional bass control. Combined with Primacoustic Broadway panels and diffusers, it can transform virtually any room into a well-balanced acoustic space.
Depth = 20.32 cm; Dimensions = 61 x 121.92 cm; Beveled edges; Coverage = 0.74384 m²; Pack of 1. Color: Black.
Z840-1100-00For reference, the standard sound absorption coefficient test for wall mounting was also performed. Although limited in scope, this provides typical data up to 100 Hz and the expected performance at lower frequencies, as calculated in the laboratory.
FullTrap Stacked
Example of FullTrap panels mounted in a stacked configuration to absorb low and high frequencies before they can bounce around the room.
FullTrap in the Studio
FullTraps mounted on the back wall near the corners of the room to maximize low-frequency absorption.
Alternative MaxTrap Options
When wall space is not available, Primacoustic MaxTrap can also be mounted in a corner.
