Radial Engineering EXTC SA

Radial Engineering's EXTCSA is a professional audio interface that allows you to insert effects pedals into balanced line-level signals and reamp pre-recorded tracks through a pedalboard. It has send/return controls, isolation transformer and class-A buffer for maximum sound quality.

Notable features

  • Balanced XLR female input and parallel ¼ TRS input for line sources.
  • Balanced XLR male and ¼ TRS parallel output, compatible with PA systems and audio interfaces.
  • Independent ¼ Send/Receive for connecting pedals or effects loops.
  • Separate Level controls to optimize send and receive.
  • Blend Wet/Dry to balance direct and processed signal.
  • 180° polarity reversal switch to align phase between dry and wet signals.
  • Isolated transformer to eliminate hum and ground loops.
  • Class A discrete buffer to maintain tonal integrity.
  • 15 VDC power supply included.
  • Rugged construction for studio and live use.

Radial EXTCSA is an interface designed to integrate guitar pedals into the pro audio workflow. It allows you to take line-level signals from a DAW or mixer and convert them into high-impedance signals optimized for pedal electronics, then return the processed signal to balanced line level.

With separate send and receive controls, wet/dry blend and phase inversion, the EXTCSA offers extremely precise control of the signal path, making it ideal for creative reamping, effects on vocal tracks or unconventional instruments. Transformer isolation and Class A buffers ensure a clean, hum-free signal, even in the most complex chains.

Main applications

Reamping prerecorded tracks through guitar or bass pedalboards.

Inserting effects pedal information into the mix of vocals, percussion or instruments.

Connecting pedals in series or parallel with wet/dry control.

Eliminate noise and ground loops with transformer isolation.

Use the interface as a creative tool in professional studios or homestudio projects.

Reamping via pedals

Take a dry track and send it to the EXTC, which in turn feeds your pedals. It's the ideal way to add character to a vocal track, apply an envelope follower to a kick drum, or give a Hammond a wah boost.
