Compact and lightweight, the 15-inch woofer and 1.35-inch HF driver in the PreSonus® AIR15 2-way active PA speaker deliver rich, extended low-frequency extension and natural high-frequency extension in an enclosure that fits in the back of a small van. Backed by 1,200 watts (peak) of Class D/Class AB power and enhanced with easy-to-use digital tuning features, the AIR15 delivers all the power and tools you need for both mobile and installed sound. A choice of inputs allows for use with a variety of sources.
An easy-to-use signal processor with presets simplifies customizing the AIR15's response for use as a front-of-house power supply, as a monitor wedge, for music playback, for improved speech intelligibility, and for enhanced low-end and warmer sound. Treble and bass controls boost or cut 10 dB to compensate for room anomalies. Position presets optimize performance for stand and bracket mounting, as well as suspended installations.
The AIR15's multi-angle housing features non-slip rubber feet on the bottom for use in a front-of-house upright position and on its side for stage monitor applications. Mount it using M10 suspension points or stack it on the floor for portable applications. Mount it on a tripod or on an AIR Series subwoofer using an optional secondary pole. An integrated dual-position pole mount allows you to aim the speaker level or tilt it down 7.5˚. And the AIR15 is easy to transport, thanks to its top-mounted handle.
With its professional features and audio quality, the AIR15 is a great choice for mobile and installed audio.
AIR15 loudspeakers deliver up to 124 dB SPL of sweet, clear sound across the speaker's 47 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range. A 900 W (peak) Class D amplifier powers the 15-inch low-frequency driver for efficient, clean bass. A 300 W (peak) Class AB amplifier powers the 1.35-inch HF driver, delivering a natural-sounding, “AIR-y” high end.
If you place a speaker against a wall or floor, low frequencies emitted from the rear will propagate into the room, increasing low frequencies by up to 6 dB. AIR speakers offer a Monitor preset that uses DSP to compensate for bass buildup and maintain a tight mid-bass response, suppressing problematic frequencies.
AIR full-range speakers feature two XLR mic/TRS combo inputs, each with a Class A mic preamp and independent gain control. A ⅛-inch stereo connection accepts signals from consumer audio devices. These signals can be combined with the internal mixer, and a balanced XLR Mix output allows signals to be sent to other speakers in the AIR series.
