Shure KSM32C HM

The Shure KSM32C HM is a kit that includes a padded hard case with zipper and handle, swivel hard stand, an anti-pop sponge, and the KSM32C wide-diaphragm cardioid condenser microphone. Its 3/4 capsule has a faithful response from 20Hz to 20kHz and can handle up to 155dBSPL with pad inserted. The KSM32C is suitable for professional use in both recording studios and home recording sessions on vocals, guitar or bass amplifiers, wind and percussion instruments.

Wide-diaphragm capsule, small microphone size

The 3/4 capsule of the Shure KSM32C is designed to maintain the same performance as the 1 capsule, thus enabling the creation of a more compact microphone in line with the aesthetic needs of modern studios. Its small size makes it less intrusive in video shooting situations and therefore perfect for podcasting. Its compact format not only facilitates streaming and content creation, but also simplifies its placement within a drum kit when recording.

Cardioid diagram and source isolation

The fixed cardioid polar pattern of the Shure KSM32C ensures effective rejection of rear and side sources while maintaining a consistent off-axis response. This behavior is particularly useful in multitrack recordings, where bleed control directly affects cleanliness and separation in the mix.

Dynamics management and sound pressure

The Shure KSM32C is designed to handle high-dynamic sources without introducing distortion. We can therefore use the Shure KSM32C to mic amplifiers, percussion and wind instruments while maintaining signal integrity and excellent headroom.

High-pass filter and low-frequency control

The Shure KSM32C's built-in 80Hz high-pass filter allows it to attenuate rumble, structural vibration and the proximity effect. This feature is crucial in vocal recording and close miking, where control of the low-frequency range directly affects the intelligibility and cleanliness of the signal.

Signal-to-noise ratio and low-dynamic applications

With an inherent noise floor of only 11dBSPL and a signal-to-noise ratio of 83 dB, the Shure KSM32C is also suitable for picking up the most delicate or low-dynamic elements. These specifications are particularly relevant in vocal, acoustic instrument and broadcast applications.
