Korg microKEY is small, lightweight, powered directly from the USB port and compatible with all music software applications. The perfect choice for controlling your computer music software in both production and live performance. The microKEY series offers a dynamics-sensitive keyboard with the same Natural Touch feel as that implemented in the microKorg XL and microSTATION. Designed with special attention to touch and response, the keyboard despite its small key size offers excellent playability in the execution of chords, glissati and fast melodic phrases, thanks to a proportion of black and white keys designed specifically for the purpose. Pitch bend and modulation controls are also available. The 37- and 61-key microKEY models also function as USB hubs, thanks to the two USB (Type A) ports you can connect a Korg nano PAD, or nanoKONTROL, or any other USB device to them to extend your control possibilities. The 25-key model can be connected directly to the iPad via Apple's Camera Connection Kit to play various music applications that support MIDI control (Core MIDI), such as Korg's own iMS-20. As for the 37- and 61-key models, however, it is necessary to use a powered USB hub when playing MIDI apps on the iPad. The 61-key version is perfect for the musician who performs live, as he or she will have as many as five octaves in a keyboard that takes up the same space as a classic 49-key keyboard.

Through the KORG KONTROL Editor software, it will be possible to program the various settings for the 3 models, selecting one of 8 dynamic key response curves, or the number of control changes and the maximum and minimum value of the same that can be sent via the modulation wheel, or the joystick.
Rich is the software package downloadable from the Korguser.net website upon registration. In particular for the microKey 61 we find all the full licenses for the virtual synthesizers in the Korg Legacy Collection, which includes the virtual version of the historic MS-20 analog synth, the Polysix polyphonic synthesizer, the Mono/Poly analog synthesizer, software versions of the M1 and Wavestation digital synths, and the MDE-X effects plug-in.
With the other two models in the series, 25 and 37 keys, however, comes the code for the LE version of the M1. In the packages of the entire series you will also find codes for other software in demo, or LE versions, as well as a discount coupon for the purchase of Ableton Live.
