Radial Dragster is a super-compact load-correcting device that allows you to adjust the pickup load of your electric guitar to replicate the sound as if it were connected directly to a tube amplifier.
When a guitar is connected to an amplifier, the pickup and the amplifier come together to form a circuit. But as soon as a buffer is introduced between the two, this natural relationship is lost. The pickup 'sees' the buffer and the timbre changes. This is the fundamental reason why guitarists hate the sound of wireless systems and non-true-bypass pedals. Dragster solves this problem by restoring the full, rich timbre that is lost by connecting the guitar to a wireless transmitter or other types of buffered inputs such as effects pedals, mixers, sound cards or all-in-one recording systems.
Dragster is plug and play and easy to use. Simply plug your guitar or bass into the Dragster using one of the ¼ inputs and then exit the Dragster with the other jack. Adjust the dial to get a sound to your liking and you're ready to go! The compact design makes it easy to mount on a pedalboard, while the built-in mounting flanges make it a breeze to attach Dragster to your guitar strap. Plus, its unobtrusive size and light weight won't slow you down. Few guitar accessories will give you the same 'satisfaction' as a Dragster.
Dragster is a load-correcting device that sounds so good that you will use it on everything.
Dragster is plug and play and easy to use. Simply connect your guitar or bass to Dragster using the ¼ connectors. Both jacks will function as input and output-it makes no difference. Then connect the other ¼ jack to your pedals or to a wireless or recording system.
Set the Drag Control wheel to half and listen. Turning it in one direction will make the timbre darker - in the other direction the sound will become brighter. Adjust the Drag Control 'more or less' to set the load that best suits your guitar/amp combination-it should sound as if your guitar were plugged directly into the amp. The mounting flanges can be attached to the strap of your guitar with Velcro or tied with a nylon cord. For permanent installation you can sew Dragster onto your strap through the slots in the flange. Dragster is 100% passive. In other words, it requires neither power nor batteries to operate. Just plug it in and play!
Use Dragster in front of guitar pedals to remove the dry timbre of buffers introduced in the signal path.
When recording an un-effected track, use Dragster to set the load before it reaches the mixer input channel.
When recording a clean track for Reamping, use Dragster to warm up the sound of your guitar before sending it to the preamp.
On stage, connect Dragster to the transmitter to warm up the sound of your wireless system for a more natural sound.
