Radial Engineering JS 3

RADIAL ENGINEERING's JS3 is a high-performance balanced microphone splitter designed to distribute the same signal to three destinations simultaneously via two Jensen transformer-isolated outputs and one direct output.

Noteworthy features

  • Sends one microphone signal to three destinations simultaneously
  • Jensen transformer to achieve high audio quality
  • Eliminates hum and noise caused by ground loops
  • Dual isolated outputs ensure optimal noise rejection

RADIAL JS-3 is a microphone splitter with a Jensen transformer that allows a balanced source to feed multiple destinations via standard XLR connectors. It is a passive device equipped with a transformer with a laminated nickel core to achieve exceptionally low harmonic distortion without the phase shift caused by steel-core transformers. JS-3 offers the advantage of complete transformer isolation with common-mode noise (CMR), better than -90 dB, without annoying hum and other noise induced by voltage and ground loops. JS3 offers a simple but effective interface for microphones or DI boxes, and thanks to the Pad with -30 dB attenuation, consumer devices and Line can also be used without fear of distortion or overloading due to saturation. JS-3 is made of sturdy and durable 14-gauge steel construction, up to 8 units can be rack mounted in 2RU using the optional accessory.

Applications of JS3

Using JS3 to power three mixers

Sometimes it is necessary to power the main mixer, stage monitors and a recorder at the same time. The JS3 simplifies the connection with its XLR input, direct output, and two isolated outputs. These eliminate ground loops when connecting to multiple mixers.
