Radial Engineering Phazer

RADIAL ENGINEERING's Phazer is a phase adjuster that sums two line signals using class A analog circuits, quickly and accurately aligning the phase of the signal while improving the intelligibility and timbre of the connected source.

Prominent features

  • Phase alignment of two signals for improved intelligibility
  • 100% analog, class-A audio circuitry
  • Variable phase shift for precise signal alignment
  • Low-pass filter

Phase alignment

Phazer is an analog phase corrector designed to temporally align two signals so that their fundamental frequency is output simultaneously. Phazer uses refined Class A electronics; its use improves the intelligibility and timbre of the signal, enabling the achievement of remarkable results.

Applications of Phazer

Using Phazer on speaker microphones

Sound engineers like to combine the attack of the kick drum skin with the boom of a second microphone. Phazer elevates the effect by allowing the two elements to be combined in perfect synchrony. Simply plug Phazer into the beating skin channel, turn the phase control, and within seconds you're done.

Using Phazer with a guitar amplifier

Sometimes it is difficult to get a good guitar sound, this is due to irregularities such as stage resonance, room acoustics and a slight shift in microphone position. Combine a Radial JDX direct speaker with the usual SM57 on the speaker. Adjust the phase of the JDX and within seconds you will get huge guitar sounds.

Using Phazer to solve bass problems

In smaller venues, the level of bass from the stage can often compete with the PA system, making mixing difficult. Combine the direct feed of the bass amplifier with a JDX direct speaker and phase align it to the PA with the Phazer. You will be amazed at how this simple process will clean up your mix.
