Radial Engineering Big Shot I/O REV2

Radial Engineering's BigShot I/O Rev2 is a passive True-Bypass switch for instruments. On INPUT 2 you can adjust the signal level, with Bright compensation, Tuner output and Mute. Designed for live and studio use.

Notable features

- Selects two instruments with the press of a foot pedal

- Adjustable volume control to balance the level of instruments

- Separate tuner output and mute switch with LEDs

- 'Bright' compensation switch for long cables

The Radial BigShot I/O Rev2 allows easy switching between two instruments connected to the same amplifier, while maintaining maximum signal integrity due to the 100% passive true-bypass circuitry. Input 2 features variable level control, useful for balancing instruments with different signals. The Bright switch allows you to compensate for any high-frequency losses due to long cables or capacitive effects. The Mute function allows the output to the amplifier to be muted without interrupting the signal, while the dedicated output for the tuner remains active at all times. LED indicators show input selection and mute function status. It is made of rugged 14-inch steel with a durable powder-coated finish, ideal for intensive use in the studio or on stage. The device requires 9 VDC power supply, center negative pole, and is designed to operate in dry environments between 5°C and 40°C.

Practical Applications of BigShot I/O Rev2

Using BigShot i/o with two electric guitars

Switching between a Strat and a Les Paul is easy! Connect the two guitars to BigShot i/o as shown and press the switch to select them. Tame the Les Paul using the Input-2 level control. Finally connect the tuner for silent adjustments on stage with the Mute pedal.

Use BigShot i/o with an active and a passive bass

Output levels between an active and a passive bass vary widely, making it difficult to switch between them without adjusting the amplifier level. This problem is solved by connecting the passive bass to Input-1 and the active bass to Input-2. Use the level control to equalize the output volumes.

Switching between acoustic and electric guitar

Multi-instrumentalists are often forced to switch between electric and acoustic guitars or other instruments. Using BigShot i/o you are able to simplify this! Use Input-1 for electric guitar and Input-2 for acoustic by lowering the sensitivity to balance the signals.
