Radial Engineering Key-Largo

Radial Key-Largo is a keyboard mixer with a built-in USB/MIDI audio interface, effects loop, and foot controls. This compact device with active electronics combines a multichannel mixer with three analog stereo inputs, a 24-bit/192 kHz USB interface, a switchable effects loop, volume and sustain pedals, and balanced XLR and TRS outputs with ground lift, offering top-notch performance both live and in the studio.

Key-Large Features Highlights

  • Three analog stereo inputs for keyboards
  • Digital USB connection for soft-synths
  • Built-in sustain and effects loop pedals
  • Separate PA and monitor outputs

Key-Largo a mixer for the keyboardist on the go

Conceived and designed specifically for live use, Key-Largo is made in a compact design with 3 dual ¼ analog inputs for keyboards and a USB interface to connect a laptop computer for use with soft synths. Each stereo input has individual level control to quickly make adjustments on stage, and an effects loop to connect an external multi-effect, the FX Loop also can be turned on or off via the built-in foot pedal to engage the connected effect when needed. The effects bus is Stereo but can be summed to Mono in order to use guitar pedals, for example. Finally, there is a Sustain pedal for connecting Key-Largo to the Master-Keyboard or digital piano with a standard Jack, eliminating the need to carry a special one.

High headroom low noise

Like all Radial products, Key-Largo is built to withstand the trauma of a Tour, thanks to a 14-gauge steel construction with extremely robust potentiometers and switches. Its electronics have ample headroom to handle the dynamics of digital keyboards and analog synthesizers without problems of overload or distortion. Independent monitor outputs allow appropriate level adjustment on stage, while XLR main outputs provide balanced connections to the PA System. These are also transformer-isolated and feature Ground Lift to eliminate noise and hum caused by ground loops. With USB and MIDI connectivity, Key-Largo integrates easily with all types of keyboard setups. High-quality 24bit/192kHz converters enable playback of the best soft-synths and sample libraries while also offering the ability to record via USB with excellent audio quality. This means that Key-Largo can also be used as an audio interface, ideal for recording during tours or capturing Live performances.

Key-Largo Applications

Easily Manage a Keyboard Set Up

With Key-Largo, you can mix the outputs of multiple keyboards and feed a PA System in stereo via the balanced Main XLR outputs. You can also add effects via the switchable Loop, control Sustain and the main volume of the Set Up via a dedicated foot pedal.

Integrate a soft-synth on the Live stage

Via Key-Largo you can connect via MIDI output (DIN) a controller to play Soft-Synths or Sample libraries on laptop computer, its DAC (digital-to-analog) converters, offer high sound quality on monitors and PA System.

Combining analog and digital on stage

Key-Largo is at the center of the performance setup: mix the three keyboards with the audio output of a soft-synth, connecting a ¼ cable to the pedal input on the main keyboard allows Key-Largo's Sustain pedal to be used to send this kind of message to the system, and also connecting a Volume pedal to the appropriate jack allows you to control the overall volume of the entire Set Up.

Using Key-Largo as a recording interface

Key-Largo features high quality 24-bit/192 kHz converters and can also be used to record audio tracks using your favorite Audio Software, so you can easily record audio tracks even on the go or capture live performances.
