Quik Lok FAP/01 Filtro Anti-Pop in Plastica

Quik Lok FAP/01 is a molded plastic Anti-Pop filter for wide-diaphragm microphones consisting of a clamp to be clipped onto the main microphone stand, a flexible neck and a circular filter. It is a cheaper version of the model. An anti-pop filter, also called an anti-pop shield or anti-pop screen, is a noise protection filter for microphones, typically used in the recording studio, especially when using a condenser microphone of particular sensitivity. The anti-pop filter is used to reduce and attenuate crackling sounds caused by the mechanical impact of fast-moving air on the microphone. This phenomenon is typically produced by the occlusive consonants (also called momentary, or explosive consonants such as P and B) that are generated during recorded speech and singing. Anti-pop filters can also keep saliva away from the microphone during recording.
