Numa Compact 2 SE is the result of a thorough restyling and technological upgrade of Numa Compact 2 the compact Stage Keyboard from Studiologic, which now includes a new, high-performance sound engine acquired from the Numa X Piano series, with increased polyphonic articulation, over 140 fully reprogrammed sounds, an expanded set of control parameters, 4 sound sections and up to 6 simultaneous effects. Numa Compact 2 SE also has an efficient speaker system and advanced connections including a USB MIDI and Audio port.

It is the Numa X Piano-derived sound engine that produces the acoustic piano sounds, uses Stereo multi-samples with TrS (True Sound) technology. Many new acoustic piano samples have been introduced on Numa compact, and perfected important acoustic phenomena typical of the piano such as tailpiece resonance, string resonance without dampers, key release and pedal noise

This section of Numa compact SE that generates electric piano sounds employs an ingenious combination of Sample and DSP effects to simulate the physical modeling technology of Numa X Piano. This recreates the most typical sounds of the two main categories of this class of instruments: tuned bar "Tine" and reed "Reed," with independent control additionally of Tine and Damper noise. An extensive tone library is available that includes many variations of the most well-known and useful electric pianos, including modern FM digital pianos.

A real electromagnetic organ model (Tonewheel) has been implemented on this section, with an independent sound engine, and a wide variety of timbres including the most representative organ models of this popular instrumental category. In addition to the generating system, the Vibrato/Chorus and Rotary Speaker rotary amplifier, along with the percussion controls, have been completely redesigned, resulting in a very impressive sound.

This Sound Engine enables Numa compact SE true synthesizer performance with virtual oscillators capable of generating a wide variety of waveforms, with a new set of parameters including Portamento, Staccato/Legato modes, polyphonic or monophonic articulation useful for creating effective original synth timbres or simulating the more classic Vintage sounds of these instruments.

The Numa Compact SE's original configuration can meet most artistic needs, starting with its compact size and light weight ideal for all mobile musicians; to the advanced sound generation system that produces high-quality, widely customizable sounds and effects; to the built-in speakers that allow the keyboard to be used independently for daily practice, lessons, and rehearsals, with the option, of course, to connect to an external PA for concerts, performances, or live events.

The 88-key "piano style" semi-weighted keyboard with aftertouch, allows the accurate expressive control of internal, or external sounds thanks also to the MIDI Master control of the DIN ports or from the USB/Audio interface that allows Numa Compact SE to be used effectively as a Master Keyboard even in the recording studio, connecting to DAW environments. The realtime control possibilities of this instrument are complemented by the Pitch Stick and Modulation on the panel, while a bright OLED display visualizes all sound selection or editing operations.
